No more than two visitors should be with the patient at any one time.
Observe posted visiting hours and keep your visits short.
Please do not leave children unattended.
If asked, leave the room during procedures or when doctors or nurses are tending to patients.
Check with the nurse before bring a patient anything to eat or drink. Do not give the patent sweets, alcohol, cigarettes or medicine.
Do not eat the patient's meals. As part of the treatment plan, staff member record what and how much the patient is eating.
Do not visit if you have a cold or any other contagious condition.
Free visitor parking is available in the main hospital parking lot located in the front of the building. Handicapped parking is reserved at various locations in front of the building.
Garden Spot Cafe´
The Garden Spot Cafe´ is located on the first floor of the medical center and is adjacent to the main lobby. We are open to serve staff and visitors during the hours of:
Monday - Friday: 6:00a.m.- 10:00a.m.
and 11:00 - 5:30p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 8:30a.m. - 10:00a.m.
and 11:00 - 4:00p.m.
A variety of food items, snacks, soft drinks and coffee are available in the vending room located across from the gift shop near the main lobby and is open 24 hours a day.
Wake Forest Baptist Health – Wilkes Medical Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking has been proven to cause serious health problems and therefore is not allowed in the building.

Please do not use the bathroom in the patient's room since use of these rooms is sometimes monitored as part of patient care. For your convenience, public restrooms are located on the first floor opposite the Information Desk, and in or next to every lounge and waiting area.
Handguns are not permitted in the hospital or parking areas, except by law enforcement officers.
